BT Global Fabric is BT's network-as-a-service (NaaS) platform, unveiled in October 2023 and live since February 2025 as 'Global Fabric Internet'. It's built as the underlying fabric onto which SD-WAN, security and multi-cloud routing get layered via a marketplace or app. At launch it covered 45 cloud data centres, with a stated target of 140, and its partnerships already include Google Cloud WAN (from 2025) and Cisco as a key technology supplier. We'd read this as the clearest signal yet of where BT's underlying network strategy is actually heading.
