BT evidence record 3.6

Self-service vs fully-managed tiers

Features & Capabilities (BT's Packaging, Not Vendor Specs) | Confirmed | Last verified 2026-08-30

Evidence finding

BT's Cisco-based SD-WAN offer is explicitly described as 'Fully or co-managed with a single tenant cloud-hosted orchestrator', confirming BT offers both a fully-managed and a co-managed (self-service-leaning) tier for at least the Cisco variant of its SD-WAN. Fully managed or co managed, running on a single tenant, cloud hosted orchestrator, is how BT describes its Cisco based SD-WAN offer. A genuine self service co managed tier does exist alongside the fully managed option, at least for the Cisco variant. Whether that extends across to the Fortinet and VMware options isn't confirmed either way. This is important for buyers wanting more hands on control over policy and routing.
